DiploNerds Wed!
I know we have been away for awhile but we have a good reason! Besides Dan being very busy with his duties in Ethiopia, we are proud to announce the DiploNerds are married!
Dan and I wed on November 12 in my hometown of Orlando, Florida. We were so happy Dan could get two weeks off for the wedding and we are now working on getting me added to his orders. I hope to be joining him in Ethiopia by Christmas. So if anyone can help speed up the process or has any tips on getting a new spouse out to post we would love to know!
Here are some pictures from the big day of us!

Congratulations!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful couple!
Gorgeous pictures! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget that you need to get your Dip passport and visa, which is what can delay things. And don't forget all the vaccines! And if you haven't gotten your medical clearance yet, get that done ASAP.
Karl delayed joining State (by about 8 months?) so it could have been done after the wedding (plus we didn't want to risk him being in training at the same time of the wedding, since he wouldn't be able to take time off then). At the end it worked out, as we were married by the time he started, and I just had to get my medical clearance then.
Thank you Carla! I got my medical clearance two weeks ago and my yellow fever shot. It is the only one that is required before I get to post. I can get everything else at post. I can't get my dip passport till they approve my travel orders, should get that soon. Visa I also get upon arrival.
